At Heli Holland, we are convinced that being a helicopter pilot is the most beautiful profession in the world. The capabilities of a helicopter are vast and the sense of freedom priceless. Anyone who wants to become a helicopter pilot is welcome at Heli Holland Trainings. Pilots who have attended our training programs now fly offshore, trauma, VIP and inspection flights, among others. Below is a brief description of our training courses at the Heli Holland ATO (Approved Training Organization).

PPL – Private Pilot License
Private Pilot License is the training required to fly a helicopter recreationally within Europe. If you have purchased or intend to purchase a private helicopter, you will need this training to fly in your helicopter.
CPL – Commercial Pilot License

The Commercial Pilot License allows you to conduct commercial flights in lightweight helicopters. This can be done in a wide range of countries; check out the CPL page for more information.
ATPL – Airline Transport Pilot License
Airline Transport Pilot License is the highest qualification at flight level. This training has higher requirements than the PPL and CPL training and is intended for anyone who wants to make a career as a captain during Multi Crew flights such as Offshore flights over sea.
IR – Instrument Rating
Instrument Rating allows the pilot to perform a flight without visual reference, flying through clouds or in higher altitudes for example. You will learn during this course to use only the instruments present in the cockpit and communication with air traffic control.
FI – Flight Instructor
Flight Instructor, the name says it all, teaches experienced helicopter pilots how to impart their knowledge to novice helicopter pilots.
Examiner courses
The Heli Holland flight school offers several Examiner courses in cooperation with the Dutch aviation authority. If you are an instructor and would like to become an examiner, please inquire about TRE, IRE or FE options.
Typeratings

Every helicopter is different, so it is also important to know the type of helicopter before flying it. In this short type rating course, you will learn about the type of helicopter and take an exam on it.
NR – Night Rating
After obtaining the Night Rating, the pilot may also conduct helicopter flights outside the daylight period.
FNPT II – Simulator training
To become a good helicopter pilot, training in the simulator is very important. We have a simulator ready for you that meets many quality standards so that you get the best training.
